We were saddened to hear the news that George Hardman passed away on Monday. The funeral will be held at the Willows, Ribby Road, Kirkham, on Friday 12th March at 10.30am. Our thoughts go out to Chris and all the family. He will be sadly missed.

CAN ANYONE HELP?

A couple of seasons ago LDMC presented a new trophy donated by Phil Short for the East/West Challenge which, unfortunately didn’t really take off although the trophy was won the first season. However the trophy has now disappeared!! Does any one out there know the whereabouts of this trophy as we would like to use it again.

Hello Everybody,

It gives me great pleasure to attach both the Provisional Championship Final Points Update, following the final rounds at Anglesey Trac Mon, together with the Final Event Results for the Saturday (National Circuit) and the Sunday (International Circuit) Sprint Events organised by LDMC.

For reference, the Championship Results will remain provisional until 7 days have elapsed from publication today at 5.10pm GMT.

The event results have been declared final.

If anybody has spotted any errors or omissions regarding the championship points, then please do not hesitate to contact me or Moya, as 50 pairs of eyes are better than two!

Finally, if you aren’t doing anything this Tuesday Evening (13^th), I’ve organised a Motorsport Evening with Stuart Turner who, as well as being one of the most influential individuals in World Motorsport during the last 50 years, managing both the B.M.C. and Ford Competition Departments, is one of the funniest and most entertaining speakers around.

The event will be supporting the Motorsport Safety Fund of which Stuart is the Principal Trustee.

The event starts at 7.30pm at The Park Hotel, Dunnings Bridge Road, Netherton, Liverpool, L30 6XN and will only cost you £2.50 as a Member of L.D.M.C. to attend.

The hotel is just a few minutes’ drive from the end of the M58 & M57 motorways – about a 30min drive from Preston and Central Lancs or for those familiar with Aintree, it’s 1/2mile North of the circuit.

Longton’s Northern Speed Championship 2009- update following round 17- Anglesey National 10 Oct

Following an action packed day’s sprinting at Trac Mon, the Club is delighted to publish a championship points update following our championship event at Anglesey.

It’s still very close at the top with less than 3 points seperating 2,3 and 4th positions!

Next round tomorrow….same place, same times and mostly the same cars.

Anglesey…here we go! Sprint Weekend 10/11th October

Using the wonders of information technology, we shall be updating both the event results and the Longton Northern Speed Championship points direct from Trac Mon during the course of this weekend’s Double Header Sprint Events on the Coastal and International Circuits at Anglesey.

Hello Folks,

The Club is pleased to publish the latest Championship Points update, following our inaugural 2-lap Sprint held at 3 Sisters last Sunday.

Things are starting to get very close at the top with Mark Teale and John Graham is 3rd and 4th position seperated by less than half a point!

Just to remind you, the next and final rounds will be concluded at our annual visit to the superb Trac Mon Anglesey Circuit, with a double-header weekend on the 10th and 11th October.

Hope to see you all at Anglesey!
