LDMC 1962 – 1966

We have received a request from a previous LDMC member, Steve Entwistle, regarding anything relating to the club from 1962 – 1966. He is currently restoring a Mini Cooper which did a lot of club events way back then. i.e. Longton Trophy Rally, Weeton Tests. If anyone has got anything, i.e. entry lists, results, event reports etc from that period please could you let me know and I will forward on the information. Regards Moya

Three Sisters Sprint 18th April 2010

Although it was a relatively small entry for a Longton event, with the weather being kind to us and drivers keeping it on the ‘black stuff’, all entrants were given the opportunity of 2 practice runs and 2 timed runs before lunch and 4 timed runs in the afternoon.

A good day was had by all!!

Sad News

We were saddened to hear the news that George Hardman passed away on Monday 8th March. The funeral was held at the Willows, Ribby Road, Kirkham, on Friday 12th March. Our thoughts go out to his son Chris and all the family. He will be sadly missed.

East/West Challenge

CAN ANYONE HELP?

A couple of seasons ago LDMC presented a new trophy donated by Phil Short for the East/West Challenge which, unfortunately didn’t really take off although the trophy was won the first season. However the trophy has now disappeared!! Does any one out there know the whereabouts of this trophy as we would like to use it again.
